I've plonked a couple of Marimo moss balls in my tank - do they need any special care as they are gobbling up my nitrates like they're going out of fashion - nitrates never yet hit 5ppm so want to make sure they are happy marimo moss balls.

Also, I'm thinking of some kind of moss to attach to my driftwood like Flame Moss or Christmas Moss can anyone give me some heads up on this, how to, what's the best moss and do I need anything specific to grow moss.

Moss balls are actually algae and grow so slowly they have a negligible affect on nitrate concentration. Moss is quite easy to grow, in a Rekord 60 with the stock lighting both Flame and Christmas moss will be fine.

Cool - what moss is best to spread along the wood and how do i go about attaching it?
