Here's a quick question I've been thinking about.

I have a 5 gallon tank in my dorm room with 2 zebra danios and an african dwarf frog. I have a heater, and had the temp set to about 76-77 degrees. Unfortunately, they just turned our heat on, and until we get our control fixed, the heat is always on in our room. On just about any given day, the tank is at about 82-84 degrees now. Any way I can lower the temp a couple of days? What doing something like say, aiming a fan at the tank and just letting it run, be a bad idea? Any ideas help, thanks.

Hmm...I suppose dropping the temp on the heater in the tank isn't an option....you could try putting a 2 ltr bottle of frozen water in the tank for when the heatings gonna be on?....other to that I cant help.

I have a heater with a temp gauge...it is still working correctly. It's set to come on at 76 degrees. The temperature in my room is hotter than the gauge is set for. So I can't cool it by adjusting the heater.
