Just purchased a nova extreme model #1121. It has 4 t5 light bulbs. 39 watts each. 2 white 2 blue. It is really designed for marine but I have freshwater. I needed a super bright light. Love the look, but the noise from the fan is annoying. 
I did not attach the feet and have it sitting directly on a glass top. Do I have to have the fan going? At least not all the time maybe. Have to really turn the tv up to hear it.
Got a great deal $150 off original price. Don't want to ruin it though. Any advice on this dumb fan problem?
