Pygmy Corys

Ok thanks. Do you guys find them easy to get hold of? So far I've only seen them online, neither of my local stockists seem to have them. Though someone told me they're hard for the shops to get hold of at the moment.

At the moment

4 x Male Plattys (Red Wags hopefully)

3 x Male Guppies

5 x Harlequins

6 x Pygmy Corys

Which kind are these coz these are the ones I like----> http://www.seriouslyfish.com/images/corydoras_pygmaeus_2.jpg

Hi guys, thanks for your help again.

My tank is 60L (nearly).

if it where me io would drop the guppies and get 4 more corys they look nice in big shoals
i would go for
4 platys
6 rasbora
10 corys

there fairly east you get hold of 1 out of 3 lfs always has them in but the other 2 can order them in if people want them. can none of your lfs order them in?

My local is p@h, i know alot of people dont like them but the 2 near me are fine, and they always have them in.
But have a good look at the tanks they are kept in and if they are swimming about alot cos ive always found that pygmy's do tend to be quite active.

Thanks guys. Yeah if I drop any of the fish it'll be the guppies, I'm always open to suggestions with those. I haven't looked in my local pets at home so hopefully they do have them. My LFS doesn't have any but yeah I'm sure they would order if I asked them. Thanks.

Very easy

I've still not seen any :( . Next step I'll just ask my LFS is they can order some.

Where i live pygmys are quite scarce...the only place i do see them is maidenhead aquatics,do you have one by you? they're normally within a big garden centre...

Most lfs have wild caught pygmys,so unless they use local breeders, then its has and when they get them in...

No, my local garden centre (the one I'll prob be using) has a Fishy Business. They have such a good choice of fish, quite a few different Corys........just no Pygmys :(. I'm gonna google and see where my nearest Maidenhead Aquatics is.

I do like Pandas too but I don't have room for 6 and that would be mean to them.

Ok not that far, only about 17 miles. I supposed I could call them and see if they have any and if they do find someone daft enough to drive me :)

Good luck-Its worth a phone call :good:

If they haven't any, perhaps you could give your details to them and they could ring you when they get them in :)

You could also try habrosus, similar size to the pygmateus, they appear less shy than the pygmateus.

My pygmys are breeding at the moment and i have 3 juvi's plus some fry,so i'm hoping to build up mine that way :)
here's one of them

Oh how sweet! I'm still cycling at the moment so I'm hoping by the time I'm ready I'll have some luck.

Thanks for the tip!
