Would a 5.5 gallon tank be too small for a group of around 6 pygmies? The filter is for a 5-10 gallon and all the intake valves are wrapped in foam to avoid any fish being sucked up. It's planted and has gravel, but I would take the gravel out and switch to a softer substrate.

Thanks.

I actually have mine in a 5.5g right now... they do nothing to the bioload and are a lot more confident on their own (I only have a school of 6). Just have lots of plants (live or fake) for them to hide in and they may even turn out a baby or two!
