Pvc Pipe Weld Glue

I have made a CO2 diffuser and I used Evo Stik pvc pipe weld glue. I had checked the instuctions and it didn't say anything about it not being safe for water and also applied it as per the instructions but it's now 2 days since I completed it and still fumes are comming of the glue where it was used in the diffuser.
If I were to start using it could this be harmful in anyway to the fish ?

My whole centralized air system is piped with pvc, using pvc cement. I've used it to glue various pvc pipes together for use in my tanks, and never had a problem.

The same cement is used for drinking water pipes, which I'm sure supply water to many aquariums.

Evo Stick is very toxic!

PVC cement is a good option, or even silicone!
