pvc pipe and other safe materials

Pvc is ok for use but be aware that recently we have had to change from lead additives to organic ones. If your pipes are old they may be the lead ones - there is no way of telling.

The safest bet is to use polyethylene pipe that is manufactured for use for carrying drinking water. Although the pipe has quite thick walls, it can be disguised using gravel/slate/rock etc.

there is clear tubing..its sold at lowes intended to hold tube lights. any info if these tubes are safe for a tank ive had them in mine for roughly a week now and no obvious toxic signs.
