A few months ago I made changes to my 500l which I felt at the time is pushing limits on pretty much everything,
I added 10 Colombian tetra and 5 silver dollars ( red hook I believe )
Making my current stocking
15 Colombian tetra
14 bronze corys
5 silver dollars
2x keyhole cichlids
2 x electric blue acara
2x green Severum
And a green phantom pleco
Firstly I was worried about a possible crash as I added all 15 fish at the same time I was pretty sure I could handle the increased bio load being these were all baby fish which lead to my second worry of a greedy 7 inch Severum .. fortune favours the bold and success all still alive and confidently swimming around ,my tank has no plants currently and these fish are barely an inch in size which has lead me to believe I have a very unusual community tank
I had never classified my tank as community until I added those fish and was always worried about potential stocking but I literally feel like I could add neons at this point with no stress
Downside to all this is who knew sliver dollars grew so fast .. not me
They have basted from 2inches to 4-5 inch in a month , with current stocking am I going to look at space issues in a years time ?
Would booting one Severum free up much needed space or would you chaps keep this same stocking as long as the aggression stays low and the no2-no3 stays below 20ppm , I feel like successfully pushing the limits but don’t want to push them to disaster
