My Cherries have just produced their first batch of babies! I had about four pregnant females, including 1 Pregnant female which i'm sure is a sakura (though sold to me as cherry) - anyway, all my babies are getting bold enough to come out and say hello! They are all a gorgeous bright red colour already however my other half just pointed out one, quite clearly -white- baby sitting on the leaf!

I can't get a picture of him, but he's definatly white, not transparent, not a sign of red. Where all my other babies are red or red striped.

is this an unsual colouration?

I have Red Cherries, 1 Ghost, 1 Bamboo and 3 Yamato, I'm correct in thinking these species don't hybrid?

Here is a pic of one of the parents and some babies.

That's definitely a Sakura female in the picture.

Some people complain about the males not having enough colour but one of mine is really red with a cream stripe from head to tail. I just love the variations you get sometimes.

(I also have 4 females berried)
