I am looking to purchase a tank very very soon. I have owned a 29g and a 30g in the past about 2 or so years ago. I am looking to get a corner tank as it will fit perfectly in my living room. I have found a few on ebay that I am interested in, but wanted to ask if anybody knew anything about these. The links are below. Please let me know of the quality of these tanks and in your opinion which I should go with. I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor so that is a concern of mine with the larger tank. Space for either wouldn't be a problem. Also if anybody knows somebody who produces a good corner tank and a cherry stand please let me know where. That is the color I would prefer to have. More than likely I will be putting cichlids in this tank no matter which size I get. Thanks.

I would get this one in the charcoal grey color.

I would get this one in the cherry or whatever color it actually is.

Not keen on either of them to be honest, but prefer the first tank in the pics.

Just a heads up: Petsmart (atleast mine) has the same set-up, and is nicer looking, for $200 less.

I looked at the Petsmart here and couldn't find anything. I know they have corner tanks, but I didn't find anything in cherry. I wasn't really looking for the silver one but thought it was kinda cool once I did find it. Did the one you got from Petsmart come with the canopy and everything?

I'm not keen on corner tanks as they seem to distort the contents somewhat. However, the second one is bigger and I prefare the wood. If I only had those to choose form, the second would be my choice, without doubt.

I'm not really keen on corner tanks either, but I'm limited on space in my apartment. I either have to go with a corner tank for now or not have a tank for several years. I elected to deal with it for now so I can at least have something. I know the second one is bigger and is wood, but would that extra weight be an issue on the third floor in an apartment? That's my main concern. I know the 98 is a better buy, but would it be safe in my apartment?

A bowfront is better than no tank at all, I quite agree.
The corner you want to position your new tank, is it a structural corner or a room dividing corner?
The reason I ask is, a structural corner is likely to be strongest an will undoubtably hold a tank with no problems at all. Otherwise, without knowing your building, I can not offer you any reasurance.

Yeah, it was like $300 for the stand (Really nice) and a bow front 60 gallon tank with light/canopy.

They had a corner tank I was looking at for like $40 more, that came with everything also. Maybe check with them and see if they can order one for you. I'm sure they'd be willing.

Yeah I checked with Petsmart but the people at mine are very very stupid. The corner I'm looking at putting this in is a room dividing corner, which is one reason I'm leaning towards the 50 gallon. I think it would probably be safer.

I would agree. I wouldn't like to test the structural strength with a large amount of water.
You going to add pictures as you go?
