pump too powerful

Hi guys! I've just brought a pump today, but it seems a bit too powerful for my tank! is there anything i can do in order to make the water less turbulent? thx!!

What size tank? Whatkind ofpump?

Is it an air pump? If so you can use a gang valve to make only part of the air supply come through so the stream of air bubbles is reduced.

You must purchase an aquarium big enough to handle the pump!
