I've just noticed that my pump for my filter (Jewel Rekord 70) is not working very well.

It is still pumping out but perhaps 1/8th of the force that it would normally pump out.

I can take it to my lfs for a new one tomorrow (it's still under guarentee) but that will not be until after work (18 hours from now).

When I noticed it I took it out and cleaned it all, put it back and it is no better.

I do have an air curtain which pumps bubbles into the tank so the oxygen should be fine, but will the bacteria be ok with such a slow flow through it????

Is there anything else I should do????

I wouldn't really panic about it. Just provide a nice supply of airation. That should be good enough. If you had some nutrafin cycle i would add a dose of that in (it adds good bacteria). Just get another filter as soon as you can. Perhaps afterwards you could even do a SMALL (10%).

Even if it dies in your filter. The tank has loads in it. Unless your pushing your bioload or this is a newer tank, it should be fine. Just get new filter and start it up. Might check levels for a few days to make sure but I really don't think this will cause a spike.
