puffers n barbs?

do they get along well? i just got two barbs. i have two puffers in the tank and im not sure if i should let them go free-- the saleswoman said they ll be fine together in the same tank since they both are semi aggrassive. is that true?

and do barbs fight with each other?

they re in the plastic bag.. since i bought them recently. what i meant was to let them go freely in the tank or stay in the bag for a while?

a female barb s starting to shaky, is there something wrong with her?

I'm afraid the saleslady gave you some poor advise. You are probably going to have a small war in your tank. Barbs will nip at each other if there is a good school of them, but with 2 they will nip at the puffers. The puffers in turn will try to chew up the Barbs. I would bring the barbs back to the lfs and try for maybe som Ottos as tankmates (the female barb doesn't sound too healthy to me)

when i kept my puffer in a large community fish with a school of tiger barbs, bala sharks and assorted bottom feeders and the puffer was nice to all the other fish and the barbs were nice to the puffer. Once i put my puffer in my 20g long mild brackish tank with my ruby barb, banjo cat and zebras the puffer went to town on the barb and had him dead in the 5 minutes while I was out of the room =(.
