puffer..

I've got a C. asellus that I've kept in a HEAVILY planted 5-gal for a yeat now with no obvious problems. He used to get antsy and try to swim through the glass whenever I hit the lights for a few days after a good vacuuming, but I made him a slate cave and now he just hides back there. Once he forgets that I cleaned the cage, he does ok though!

Throw a bunch of snails in with whatever type you get. They do a great job of eating puffer waste and excess food. And the more plants you can squeeze in, the less likely you are to have water issues.

the puffers will appreciate the snails dropping in for lunch too :D i get envious when i hear people saying that they have snail problems in their tanks :( Last load of 20+ that i got from a lfs lasted days at the most!
