What to do ? The pet shop said that the freshwater puffers eat flakes and are good in community tanks. They are babies and are happy in the community tank with noens, glowlights, other tetras, loaches, plecs and gouramis but there may be some nibbling going on.
Should I take them back to the shop ? Start a new tank or see what happens? I have till tommorrow to take them back to the shop.

Can they have any tankmates ??? ie chiclids

Thanks heaps

Well if you have figure 8's then I wouldnt keep them, the guy in your LFS is a bloomin lier, I mean the only puffers that could be considered as community fish are Colomesus (South american) Puffer but even then you gotta be carefull with fin nipping. Do the puffers have stripes like vertical bands?

I know ! I gave the LFS some constructive criticism.
They are yellow with black spots. What do they South american ones you spoke of look like ?
Sue

Could be GS Puffers or Mbu. either way they are not community, Ill kick yer LFS butts if u like.
Collomesus are sometimes called tiger puffers as they are striped. Pufferpack is the best person to talk to about them. AH hold on, are the puffers you have dwarf puffers, geeez they too are nasty little punks (Smalll puffer syndrome lol).

Gotta go mountain biking as its lunchtime and sunny in new zealand but PlEASE send me any advice so I can make up my mind by tommorrow of whether to start a new tank for these guys or not....will check back ASAP
