I have a Colomesus Puffer and am going away on holiday for two weeks.
He's in a tank with 4 small plecs and 4 platties and the other fish have always been fine with holiday food blocks.
However, my puffer will only accept live food, and at the moment, only live shrimps. I will make sure there's a water change and plenty of live food for him before I go, but does anyone have any suggestions of what I could leave for him?

How long are you away for? :D
Most puffers will be ok for a week without food. Try and resist the temptation to stuff it full of food before you go as it will just poop it all out while you're away and possibly give water quality a run for its money

2 weeks? That'll be tough on your puffer. I'd ask around your friends and family and see if they can feed them a few times over the 2 weeks.

Yeah, I agree with Zuulan. You'll need somebody to come round and feed your Puffer. Unfortunatly they won't take holiday food.
Just make sure it's somebody you trust, so they don't overfeed!

you could always portion food out, then they cant overfeed if they give one portion :)

If the puffer is only taking live shrimp at the moment - how about leaving it with some snails when you go away..? After a day or two of being hungry he will soon figure out that snails are good food too. Then he may catch and eat a few snails per day...

..never owned puffers tho so not sure if this would work.

God I am blind! I am sorry!  I agree that 2 weeks is too long to leave a puff unfed.
