Petco in my area all sold out and they're not restocking fluval. PetSmart had them for sale I got the aquasky 2.0 35 watts for 140 on sale it was 84 dollars. The 3.0 plant is price at 179 dollars.

What is the real difference between the 2.0 and 3.0 ? I read somewhere that 2.0 has the thunderstorms and cloud functionality with the app now. The only real difference is the watts and LED pink and two different types of white lights. In a video I saw that the 3.0 actually has less par than the 2.0.

I will look to see if I can find the 3.0 on sale online and if I can get for the low hundreds or in the 90s maybe I'll return it and get the other one. IDK

Looks identical to my YESCOM 48" 156 led light. At 30 watts its as bright as two 40 watt fluorescents I use to get color I need..and its a 24" deep tank.
I remember that Fluval 3.0 has something like 220 LED's..and bells and whistles.
I paid $49 for it last year, free shipping. I think the tariffs have hit home since that Koval is $20 more. Plus,Yescom no longer offers the 48" for some strange reason.
Not only is it 156 LED,it does have the night setting..by hand...of blue LED's only. I've used that feature when sitting by the aquarium in the evening..just want to see them and funny thing is colors REALLY pop when the blue is combined with the fluorescents. Like olden days gro lux lighting.

My old Fluorescent bulb was a T5 that was on from 10 Am to 12PM. It was on 12 hrs it worked for me personally so I was able to enjoy my fish at night after the wife and kids are sleeping. My fish and plants seem healthy with no major algae issues in my tank other than the hair algae that I allowed to grow on one rock.

What is a good sitting for a 24 hr light cycle for my tank. I purchased the fluval aquasky 2.0 48-60 inch with 35 watts. I need help with a good 24-hour light cycle. I know I read somewhere that fluval has a website that people can place their pro settings to share with others. I did a search but can't come up with anything.

What I'm thinking is a 24 hour cycle like this

1. 0200-0600 Full darkness (2am-6am)
2. 0600-1000 sunrise more green yellows
3. 1000-1800 full spectrum (10pm-8pm)
4. 1800-2400 sunset more red geen
5. 0000-0200 night mode blues

I'm still adjusting the light parameters within the time frames that I have in mind.

Love the light .
I can set up the colors and the light exactly what I want using P1 P2 P3 and P4 on the manual switch but getting the colors exactly how I want them using the pro switch and the 24-hour cycle not so easy
