Proposed USA regulations ending fish keeping

The high ground makes it easier to spot the enemy and gives you more range and ability to shoot down. Not that anyone is going to be shooting anyone. At least that is what we say on here. But enemies having to climb hills to get to you, means advantage goes to the person on top of the hill.

Before we start worrying about prying rotting tetras from cold dead hands - where did you guys get the dramatic fantasy there'd be 'fish raids"? They're talking about limiting the trade in exotic species of fish. This would kill the hobby slowly, although quicker than the chain stores are doing. It's a bad idea addressing a problem that largely isn't a real problem.

Leaving aside Napoleon's fate, he had an army and no one had drones. Fishkeepers are totally disorganized, have no moral high ground, and no organized lobbying power. We could fix that, with programs like CARES with its focus on conservation, but we probably won't.

Tell that to Napoleon. At the battle of Austerlitz, he gave the enemy the image that he was retreating, and gave up the high ground. The enemy came up the foggy hill and found it deserted, then out of nowhere Napoleon launched from all sides out of the mist and slaughtered the enemy. Sometimes it’s better to give up the high ground if you know what you’re doing

I made a petition on change.org. Not sure it will do anything but its worth a try!
Any suggestions on who else to petition it to?

I signed it, though I don't know how much weight signatures from Canadians will have with US lawmakers.

Do you guys think that making a separate thread will help get more signatures?

Yes. Others are probably like me, and I stopped following this thread when it got long and off-track with detours. Checke3d in this morning just for interest, and came across the petition post.
