Thank you so much Wilder. I'll give all of it a try and I'll let you know if anything happens.

Thanks. Hope you manage to get the medications.

Good Luck.

I have an update, I put her in the salt bath and it was knocked over and she fell out onto the carpet and was put back in, now it looks like something happened to the lump, there's a white thing sticking out of it

Edit: I think it might of just been something stuck to her from the carpet.. She seems fine and the white thing came off.

Bless Her. She's not having much luck.

Can't tell in the pic i'm afraid. As long as the white strand wasn't a worm.
Is the lump still there?
Has it burst?

No she's not.. I got some medication today and so she's swimming around in that now. The lo didn't burst, and I think it was a bit of tissue that was stuck to her that I thought was coming out of her.. I wasn't in the room at the time, I just walked in to see my partner trying to clean up the mess before I found out haha
The swelling seemed to go down a tiny bit after the sale bath, but no significant improvements have happened yet

On the bright side, the male in the tank gobbled up the peas so fast, so he's alright.. He was just being picky I think.. But I have the worm medicine on standby just in case..

I'll post again when I have more news :)

Thank you for the update. Glad to hear there been eating the peas.
Glad to hear she is OK.

What medications did you manage to get?

Sorry about the delayed reply, I didn't realise there was a second page. The only thing that the aquariums near me had was a multi cure, so I have tried that and the two daily epsom salt baths.
To be honest I wasn't expecting much at the start, but as of today her lump seems to actually be going away a bit. So hopefully what I'm doing is working..
Thank you for all your help :) I'll update again in a couple of days how she's going

Hope things go well for you.
Good Luck.

Another update, so far the fish still seems to be getting better. I'm pretty sure the lump is gone and hasn't returned yet and her prolapse hasn't returned either. She's still getting twice daily epsom salt baths and is still in the quarantine tank. She's starting to eat again too, it looks a bit more difficult for her though, I tried to give her blood worms and she went over to eat them but couldn't seem to get them in here mouth, however she can eat small flake food and isn't spitting it back out.

How long do you think I should keep her in quarantine?

Thank you for the update.

Chop the bloodworms in small pieces for her.

I think I would go in with another round of medication first.

Yeah she's just begun eating blood worms whole and bigger fish flakes. Another round of medication won't be harmful? The ingredients in the medication are methylene blue, acriflavine and malachite green... I've been doing partial water changes in her quarantine tank with water from the aquarium every couple of days and the water in the quarantine tank is still dark green from the medication

OK. Bless Her.
Is the lump still going down as not to convinced by the medication you are using.

Yes from what I can see the lump is complete gone and she is moving her fin on that side of her body normally again.

Thats great news. As like you I wasn't to sure about the medication either.
Glad to hear her appetite back and eating normal sized food again.

Thanks for letting us know how she got on.

It is :D I was very surprised it worked. Thank you so much for all your help, I don't know what I would of done without it!
Should I treat her with another dose of medication or put her back in the main aquarium? Or just leave her in quarantine for a bit longer?
