Hello all!

Firstly i would like to say hi! I am new to this site and have registered to try and get some advice on a current problem with one of my fish.

It looks like its intestines are making a bid for freedom!
Here are some pics.

Can anyone please advise me as to whether there is anything that can be done?

Sorry but I don't think theres anything you can do for that, get some clove oil and put him out of his misery.

How big is the severum?

Well, there are some remedies first sadly all of them aren't really lovley You can do one of these three:

Shock method- Quickly net him out into a frezzing cold cup of water and ic cubes

Clove oil method- not sure the exact amount but mix some of the oil with water and put the fish in

Snapping of neck or Decapitation- as it says take some news paper and wrap him in it. quickly hit him with a mallot or something heavy.

I'd go with the clove oil method. Shock method is painful and sometimes they don't die.
