Problems With My Pleco...

I don't know if this is normal. My pleco is hiding all the time. He will never in your DREAMS come out of his rock enough to acually get food, so i give him wafers.... is this normal?

What kind of pleco? I had a common that would only come out at night. He was 7 inches long and he hid WELL. I unfortunetely had to rehome him as he was getting too big. Maybe you have a nocturnal species of plec?

I don't know 0.0 when he comes out it's usually when no ones around because i will walk in the room and he will see me and spaz out. he does have most activity at noght.

I used to lie on my bed super still just to see some of them come out, soon as I lifted my head or moved at all they would shoot back under/behind wherever they cam from.

It should get more confident over time, how long have you had it?

My Gold Nugget will only come out at night at the moment. It goes through phases of coming out in the day and then only in the night. Very temperamental. On the other hand, my Rusty comes out whenever there is food around

Feed it some cooked brocolli, mine loves it and wont leave it alone till I remove it!

Is it normal for plecos to be out all the time? I have an albino bristlenose now, since I had to rehome my common, and that little guy is not shy at all!! I guess all fish are definitely different lol

He's a pretty friendly little guy lol. He is so funny too cause he is only about 2 inches long, and he picks of the sinking wafers I drop for the cories and carries them around.Quite fascinating little fish to watch

Is he a common? My common would only come out at night lol. It was too cute waching such a large fish try to hid (even though there were times I worried that he jumped out!) I rehomed him though so I dont know if he has gotten friendlier. I hope that yours maybe does.
