have used co2 lots of times but this is the first time i am using a refillable cannister. i had put the attachments on and before i added my electro valve i twisted the knob on top to see if the pressure went up on the gauges and it did, it was hissing (for max of 3 seconds) so i turned the knob back off and added the electro valve.

now i have added the electro valve i cant get any pressure anymore. i have took it back off and still cant get any pressure anymore what so ever.am i doing something wrong? i have not had this trouble with disposable cannisters before. please help me!

You arent really supposed to change the knob to much.
Try closing it and then slowly open it again (dont turn too much or it could ruin the thread)

Make sure everything is in te correct place, right way round and check for leaks with soapy water too.

i dont understand as i only have turned the knob about 3 times in total. it was when i opened it, then i closed it and added the electrovalve. i turned it again to let the co2 through and no pressure on the gauges at all though?? thats what i dont get. surely it cant be empty??

hmm ok, i doubt it will be empty.

Try taking it apart and follow these steps again.

Is the needle valve open?
being new to the refillable cannister's, is the needle valve the little hexagon nut on the back side
to the thread where i would attach the pressure reducer???

ok so it wasnt that hexagon nut as it start spraying out at me... why is there no pressure on the gauges? nothing working? is it a case of attaching pressure reducer and then turn the tap or knob whatever you want to call it about 5 degrees at the most and it should then let out the co2?? please help as fish place i got it from is miles away and would rather figure this out before going back and asking them!

you can then turn the wheel so it changes the volume of gas being released, this is how we control the amount going into our aquarium, so we can hit 30ppm.

can you post a picture of yuor equipment please?

Thanks, Aaron

hope this helps, sorry for being so thick, it just seemed more straight forward with the disposable canister!!

I now know what tye of reg you have because they are all slightly different.

On this model, you do want to turn the black wheel so it is fully open, there should then be a reading on the gauges, unless it is empty.

you then need the soleniod turned on, and CO2 will be able to pass through.

I cant think of anything else to do now.

Thanks, Aaron.

it feels too heavy to be empty, does this wheel turn more than a "slight turn" as i dont want to force it, it only turns each way a small amount...

I havent used one of those before so i cant comment on how far it turns.
thanks, Aaron
