hi, i have Shark ADV internal power filter which came with the tank which i bought second hand. When the filter is switched on there are lots of air bubbles coming from the top it's also quite noisey. Is this normal? It has been cleaned and is still producing lots of bubbles and noise.

Thanks

Well, I had an internal power filter once, and it did make bubbles and some noise, I guess its ok.

Hi nemo8269, is your internal filter fully submerged in the water? If not maybe your filter is sucking air from the surface creating bubbles in the water and making a noise.

The pumps shouldnt be noisy when full of water. Somehow air must be getting in there.

Biggest cause of this is assembling the case/head OUT of water.... I like to clip the parts together UNDER water, rotating the head vigarously to dislodge air....
