Thanks this is good advice but there is 1 problem, she gets her out a couple of times a day for 30 mins but then the hamster just started biting when she puts her hand in the cage. Shes really worried that she won't be able to get her out again because she won't stop biting and she loves her hamster so much she can't bare to not get her out anymore.

Has she tried putting gloves on to protect her hands, then just persevere thats what we have done with all our ferrets (not the same i know but have a really nasty bite when scared/nervous) and through time and patience it will get better. If she puts an old item of clothing in the cage (thats not been washed and is all smelly) and the hammy can get used to her smell and if she offers little yummy titbits cant do any harm lol
