Problems Getting Hold Of Certain Fish

There are some types of fish that i have always wanted but 2 of my lfs never have any of them in stock.

The fish i am after are: bolivian rams, checkerboard cichlids, apistogramma panduro and dwarf cockatoo cichlids.

I have been wanting these fish for a long time.

I order alot of my fish from www.tropicalfish4u.co.uk they are really good and i have never had any problems with the fish i have ordered from there.

Are there any other uk websites that deliver fish to your home? that website is good but they don't do any of the above fish which is frustrating.

have you asked your lfs manager about the fish you want. Many lfs will special order stock for you

Other firms that deliver are TriMar in Cornwall and (I believe) Wholesale Tropicals in London. I've had positive experiences with TriMar, not tried Wholesale Tropicals yet, but the shop itself was voted the second best in the UK in the latest poll By Practical Fishkeeping Magazine.

I agree with Torrean. Our lfs will order any fish that we want to get hold of. They just got some Blood Red Gourami in that we were after. Thay can be really helpful.

Thanks for the message, aquabid can be quite expensive sometimes, i look on ebay regularly but there isn't that many fish on there.

I think it may be USA only (although Im not positive). But there are several sellers who ship worldwide. Not sure how well that works, but I know they do. Currently they have a guy from Thailand shipping fish.

And yes, aquabid.com can be expensive, but you can get some good deals too. Shipping seems to get expensive though. Depending on if people are trying to make money off of it or not!
