Pregnant Zebra Danios?

Feed after day 2-3 after free swimming once the yolk sac has been used up.

Micro worm will be fine, but what size are you worms?
Can u see the individual worms easily?

Yes, I can see individual worms..easy..
have now about 20 young zebras, and these are now big enough to eat micro worms... and eating as well frozen cyclops

I want to make another try and be repaired to feed new hatch properly.
Have ordered Liquifry no.1.

The reason i ask about the worms is if u can easily see them i dont think their micro worms.

What do u culture them on?

what size are the worms 4-5mm?

they are no so big.. I would say 1-2 mm, white.
culture is oatporrige cooked in water with a little sugar and dry yeast.

was thinking you may have grindel worm that's all.

You should be fine feeding it from day 5 or so

:yahoo: have now about x hundred zebra babies and hopefully some cardinal babies as well... they are now about 10 days old, and eating JBL Nobil Fluid (artemia) and seems to go greit... tried some micro worms but I think it was too early..

Just wanted to add that i read in a book that if you use a small glass tank as a breeding tank.
Dont used substrait add marbles (like the kinds you play with[cat eyes, pearlys, ect.]) and put a single layer just tight together like this [....] on the bottom then fill it and your good to go because then they eggs fall inbetween and they parents have a hardtime eating them....

I use gravel which is called here "english river gravel", round små pebbles about ½", and a 1-1½ inch layer.

Help ! its happening the same as the first time... after about 10 days I have only about 10% alive... :rip:
first I thought it was feeding which failed.. but now what the h*** is happening...

how are you guys keeping them alive??? ????

Have you got water movement?

Mine are doing very well with just an air stone, Today I've done a 25% water change and added a small sponge filter..

tank is about 50 litres (12 gallons?), and I have a small spongefilter.

today I removed the survivals to a smaller tank with air driven spongefilter.
and changed almost all water in the breeding tank, tomorrow I think shall breeding group take a short visit, and next fry I will move to smaller tanks when they are free swimming, and see if that makes them survive...
