Well i got a couple of peppermint shrimp about an hour ago and one seems to be pregnant, i can see the eggs :p
I remember reading somewhere about the babies having a very bad chance of survival but I would like to try and keep them alive the best I can. So I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips and advice or a website that could help.

Currently there is only a GPS 2 peppermints and a emerald crab in the tank, and fish aren't planned to go in there for at least another week (only a couple of clowns when it happens anyways.)
Thanks :)

After reading people's experiences it seems that the odds are even lower than i thought. May not be worth it. -_-

Nemo,

Chances are extremely slim, even if you managed to keep the eggs in a baby fish hatchery or seperate tank, it would be difficult to feed them as they can in the ocean, best to let the others have a free lunch, hard though it seems. I tried a couple of times and failed but if you have any success please post on site.

One good thing to take away is that the shrimps must be happy withthe water conditions in you tank :good:

my best advice would be seperate the pregnant shrimp into a smaller tank and feed it well, and make sure everything is perfect in the tank, its what u have to do if u want the babies to stay alive. It will cost you some money too. Good luck though.
