Thanks TLM. Btw, how do you do that link thing... So many times I've linked to things and wished I could just put "Here" and it lead to the link liek you do with the titles of the topics in the Common Livebearers RUI topic...

Like this?

If you look up the top of the post options bar, below the size button is a little icon that looks a bit like a paper clip and has a small green thing on it, if you hover your mouse on it it will say link click that and where it says URL paste the URL of what you want to link

I've tried that and it just does this;

How do I get it to do the same as yours...? This sounds really silly even to me because I used to be able to do it but the forum has changed so much that now it's different :/

Are you sure all the settings are correct? They should be link type: URL and

Just checking...you are highlighting the word you want to attach the link to right?

LOL, hopefully it will work for you next time aswell :)

Anyway....back on topic.

Here's another picture, did some research and seems to me she had a dark gravid spot by her anal fin. I am for certain she's pregnant but not sure how far along yet. Wish I had another tank to put her in since I have a bully of a jellybean in there.

She looks like she could drop them any day now. I also noticed from the other picture(and this one now as well) it looks a little bit like a Platy not a Molly? :) The dorsal fin and overall shape looks more platy than molly :/

I have no idea about Platys, I'm assuming they are a lot like mollies? Was a young teenage girl working, said she was a molly but she could be very wrong. Mollies are supposed to have heaters if I'm correct, but the LPS didn't have ANY in the tank she was from. Thanks for the reply!

ALL tropical fish should have heaters, the LPS does too you just dont see it, it not like the ones in our aquariums.platys are related to mollies but platys are also smaller and i agree with paradise it looks like one.

I have a heater, it came with my tank thank god but being new to tropicalss I probably would've not had one because I didn't see the one in the LPS tank. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and already wanting to upgrade to a 20g or more!

yea so are you doing a fish in cycle because you just bought the tank 2 weeks ago...

I just thought there was something odd about her as a molly and when you put that second picture up it hit me that she looked like  a platy.

Molly + Platy

Just to show the slight differences. They aren't always these colours  They were just the best pictures I could find.

I had previously conditioned water ready for the tank before I bought it. Used Nutrafin Cycle and Aqua plus.  Had the tank running fishless for about a week with running filters. My filter is 2nd hand from my aunt so I used the same sponges and carbon she had in to help the process faster.Got my aunt to check the water quality with a test strip and all was good.

-oh ok then just checking.

Yeah, I'm still learning. Have a hard time grasping the cycling process which is why I had a lot of help from my aunt. I just bought a 20 gallon 2nd hand I'm going to try and cycle on my own. Just have to clean it first.
