Pregnant Guppy not eating

My guppy is in the middle of giving birth(i say middle cus she had 2 fry yesterday and I've read it can take over a period of days to have all the babies) and she hasn't been hungry for 2 days now. Is it because she's eaten some of her young already ? I thought you should feed your pregnant guppies often since they get very hungry after birth. Well she isn't interested in the flakes or tubifex worms. In her bredding net I've left a real plant as a last hope for food. Please help!

my one molly doesn't eat much after giving birth for a day or two anyway (probably IS because she ate some of them), though my other gave birth throughout the day, ate when i put food in,and then gave birth to some more. i wouldn't be too concerned about just yet.

Dont worry, well maintained fish can go without food for a week!

Sorry to say her first fry was her last. She died yesterday Was it because she would not eat for days after she had them? i did try to feed her and i clean my tank every 3 days or so. Oh well , I went and bought 3 more pregnant females so lets hope for the best.

well the hormones in the body tell the fish not to eat, she could have been too young to have had fry or the stress killed her

i wouldnt wery b/c i got a guppy very very into her preg and 2 days later a little tale was sticking out! but i got really worryed b/c it took 7 days to diliver all 13 fry! sad to say she died 17 days after!
but most the babys are still alive!

Sorry to hear Guppy_molly_lover. Well my new females are doing just fine(u can see them in my pics at the aquarium pics forum) and they all have darker gravid spots then my past female and they're way younger!

oOo its ok.... all 10 babys have the mommys personality... i never knew who the fater was!?!?!

well glad to hear bout your new females!i am going to look right now
oOo now i only have 2 male guppys b/c one of them died today! sooo... later me and my dad are going to take it back and get a new one...+2 more zebra dinos...
