Hiya all, i'm concerned about one of my Glowlights, she has a much more bloated stomach than the others, could she be full of eggs or is it something more worrying?

www.aquahobby.com/articles/e_glossary.phpA condition in which the body of the fish becomes swollen due to accumulated fluids. It is not a disease in itself but a symptom of various diseases which may become fatal if not treated.
Tetras don't carry their young, they are egg layers so the closest thing to being pregnant would be egg laiden.
Another possiblity is dropsy. One easy way to check this (depending on how far it is) is by looking at its scales. If theyre popping out like a pine cone than it's dropsy. Might be hard to get up close and check on a glowlight though

As long as your water is soft, they are actually one of the easier tetras to breed. They will spawn in pretty much any clean water, but the eggs don't hatch if the water is hard. The Calcium ion's in the water make the shells to tough for the fry to emerge.
