She's giving birth as we speak, 1 fry so far, how long does it last far on average?

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm not sure, my platies never get as fat as that Just leave her in until she's gone skinny and when her gravid spot has gone

Also be warned, sometimes my new born fry escape through the holes in the side of the breeding trap... some others on this forum hav had this issue aswell... Unless you have another tank set up for the fry, i'd strongly suggest you get a breeders net, mine never escaped that, but I now put my fry in their own tank and I have a 100% survival rate

Yeh I don't have another tank as yet, only the breeding trap so I'll have to keep the fry in there for a while, I'll try get a small tank ASAP, but if I get a new filter would it be okay to put it straight into the new tank? I will take water from my tank that is set up now and put it in the new tank when I get one

I now have 3 baby fry but she's still squared off, been about 36 hours in labour now! Surely not right ?

The last picture you posted you can see the complete bodies off the fry.that was a great photo.btw you have the prittiest panda/panda mix platy I have seen yet.love the spots!
