Hi there, i have had this balloon molly for about 3 months now and when i got her she was not even close to being this fat. now she is so plump she waddles when she swims, she is also pooping ALOT in the last 2 days, since i put her in the breeding box. however i had put her in the box last month beacuse i thought she was ready to drop, but she didint so i put her back in the large tank (i dont like to keep them in the breeders cuz they are so small) and now its been 2 days of her being in there again and she still hasint dropped. anyways i have included a youtube vid so im hoping somebody can tell me what they think ?

i keep my temp at 79F, and a ph of 7ish.

thanks :)

Welcome to the forum Genes.
I am sure you are only kidding about the temperature or your molly would be long dead. A pH of only 7.0 is fairly low for a molly but yours looks healthy enough.

oh Geeze! its supposed to say 79, lol sorry! yes 99F and id have molly soup.

Fixed :)

She does look pregnant to me not sure when she will drop though as usually they square of before giving birth. Ive just had about 10 balloon molly fry born in my main tank and they are doing well not been eaten yet! I dont like to use breeding traps just plenty of plants in the main tank for them to hide in. I also have 6 older fry the oldest are a month old and they are in my main tank too :D Survival of the fittest in my tank im afraid otherwise you will quickly become over run with them.

i ended up just letting her go back into the big tank. i dont like to keep her in the tiny breeding box..so if she ends up dropping her fry in the tank..oh well..ill just catch as many as i can.
i just dont like them to get eaten, i think they are cute!!
