Hi All,

Bought the Eheim 2075 today for my 240L tank, i have a fluval 305 but at full power it only turns over x4!

Would you run them both together or is that too powerful for a 240L tank i plan to have it well stocked eventually.

Regards to all

How are you figuring your actual turnover rate.

Because you first have to figure out how many GPH your pump is putting out at X hight. And then try to figure in resistance, especially if you are using hard plumbing. But more important is the actual 'head' or how many feet up your actually pumping the water (no pump operates at a static gph at any height). Another is your outlets, sometimes custom job spraybars all be them with the best of intention, the diy'er does not understand just how much water pressure is present, and do not have enough outlet area. ( #of holes / slits / w/e )

sorry no real help, but the more we have, the more we can give.

Flow rate and to powerful will depend on what fish you are planning to keep or keeping at the moment.

So no need to run them both, just the 2075 alone will be fine?
