getting another bigger ray on the weekend, and hopefully a mate for it pretty soon after so just want to make room for them, will be sorry to see these guys go as i got them in a sorry state and have worked hard to get them into the excellent condition they are in now. one is about 5" disc and the other about 4". will need a large tank and max out at about 12" disc so a tank of at least 24" width but 30" would be better and at least 6 foot long with a sand substrate. they both love bloodworms and need at least 1 cube each per day at the moment, they are just starting to show interest in prawns so should be on them pretty soon. they are a good weight and very healthy and colouring up very nicely.
you can buy these fish cheaper than this, about £40-£45 or £65 at another place and if you want to do this and watch 50% of them die like i did then feel free, but to anyone interested these fish are extremely healthy and are eating well and can be seen doing so.

Thanks, Dave

ive been reading your journal and youve had alot of hardship with these fellas..

shame your having to sell them. they look great though.
free bump from me.

what rays you getting next then.

picking up an 11" female motoro on saturday. I think these guys are sold now anyway. It will be a shame to see them go but if i want to breed i need a hardier species and decent reticulatus are very hard to come by, as i found out. The person who's buying them will give them a good home so im happy with that!

yep, the one in the first picture is about an inch bigger, and as you can see quite clearly in the picture the whole of the base colour of the ray is blue, which i for one have never seen in any reticulatus, it also has two spines as opposed to the usual one for some reason? very nice looking fish, if i could get a female to go with them easily i would have kept them, or at least one of them anyway!
