Well, I'm not 100% sure, it is reaaaally difficult to see which one your gold spot is. Mine is a bit chubby, which is common with fish that are hard to ID by gender - females usually are a bit more round. So, because of the size, I like to think that she is a she. Could be he, too, but it doesn't matter really. Can't have two of these in the same tank anyway, no matter the genders. Luckily it's name suits both genders.

My partners mums common pleco recently passed at the grand age of 10 - not bad for a fish who spent all of his life in a tank which was far too small!
