My Betta came out of hiding. I lowered the bubbles by buying a gang valve. I put salt in his tank. He came out and his fins are ragged but what is worrisome is his bloat. I have attached pics, could he have dropsy? I am doing everything I can to help him! He is staying on top of the water and breathing. I will be doing a water change tonight and cleaning the substrate.

Moss balls and java fern are slow growing plants - and java fern needs to be attached to decor rather than planted in the substrate. If you could buy one of the fast growing plants that Retired Viking suggested, they would help better than slow growing plants.
His stomach is very swollen. Did it swell up quickly over a day or two or over a month or more?
