Possible Stocking Of A 16 Gallon Tank..

At the moment I have 2 bronze corydoras in a 16 gallon tank (just sold 3 guppies and 4 mollies).

I was thinking of getting 4 more corys and then either a trio of dwarf gouramis and 6 neon tetras, or 1 other large colourful fish (suggestions?) and a larger school of neons.

I was going to plant the tank more and add more hiding places.

It is already well filtered but I was thinking about adding filter carbon or floss, is this a good idea?

It is heated to about 25C.

i would advise against a trio of dwarf gouramis. i've had a trio in a well planted 20 gallon tank for over a year now and its been very regrettable. i guess it comes down to personal preference but unless you have your heart set on breeding them, i think its a bad idea. the male will chase the females on a daily basis and it kinda kills any peaceful vibe you're tryin to set. i think you'd be better off getting a single dwarf gourami.

as for neon tetras, they're great looking fish but they can also be frustrating. they're known to be fragile and they also have a habit of sometimes dying for no particular reason.

Just as well you said that as one of my gourami's died last night in the space of about 15 minutes of being fine to convlsing on the sand .

I now only have one and i think its a male because it has orange belly fins, and my neon tetra are fine! All 11 of them! (asked for 10 but obviously got one extra as they are so hard to count )
