Possible Mouthbrooder?

Hi Guys,

I was in my LFS today and I purchased a few cory's and a fish which I'd never seen before. Now I really can't recall what it was called , but it has blue lips and kind of looks a bit like a southern mouthbrooder.

Now my lfs is rated in the top ten aquatic stores in England so I believed everything they said and the guy seemed to know his stuff. I asked how aggressive is the fish as I have a couple of angels, cory's, honey gourmai and cardinal tetras. He said it is a very peaceful fish but would be better with a mate. But since they only had one left I grabbed him and hoped to buy one in the future. He has been in the tank for several hours and I haven't seen any aggression yet towards any other fish (maybe due to nerves, etc) but I am worried, what do you guys think I should do, as I am scared i'm going to wake up with all my fish dead in the morning!

Do you know any other fish it might be?

If its a mouthbrooder and the site i checked was a good site, then this fish is agressive. i had a look on google.
though im no good so possibly dont listen to me

Thanks for your reply anybody else, I read that it is aggressive it's making me panic lol. Won't be going back to that fish store again if it is a mouthbrooder!

It should be okay on its own, keep an eye out for aggression and if it does take it back to the LFS

Probably best to keep an eye out, I did just do a late evening feed and it seemed fine it did slightly go for a clown loach though so I'm heading to a different LFS tomorrow so may give it a couple of days and if it is aggressive take it back

Just give an update on the situation looks like its been attacking my angels. So i'm taking it back to the LFS won't be heading to the same one again!
