Possible Kick Ass Brackish Setup?

Use extra caution with branches above the waterline if their within jumping range. I used some manzanita branch (very smooth) above my tank and within days had an injured archer with a deep gash in it's side. A little Melafix cleared it up fairly quickly, but it was enough for me to toss the branch. The other problem with branches is that the species of cricket commonly sold as a feeder isn't arboreal. They tend to fall off the branch after only a few steps. Silkworms on the other hand are excellent climbers and extremely easy to care for. I keep them around for my chameleons, but haven't fed them to my archers yet. Silkworms are pretty high in calcium, not sure if that is a good or bad thing for fish.

yea I used a pice of rope last time- Perhaps using rope again and just painting it brown would work? although would the paint damage the water... hmm...
anyway have been thinking and from another source a River goby was suggested... "Awaous banana" I believe... Apparently they like brown algae- so might tackle other algae- they're also been recommended as a good possible brackish 'clean up crew' Now I think we've been through this here a few times lol but is this a possibility...?

Just exploring new possible ideas... I'm off school ill just now so am grateful for anything to take my mind off the boredom :)

This is just a pic to show what I meant about the rope idea that I used before:

--edit-- ok read this web page about Dragon gobies; and they seem to be an awesome option for a "clean up crew"
as they apparently ^^ they sift through the sand and eat the food particles in the mouthfuls of sand... that would be cool but apparently they reach around 15"... this is pretty large... though again if they stay strictly to the bottom they would technically have the whole bottom to themselves; would two be too many in a 100gallon tank- will need to think about the dimensions ... lol I'm getting really excited just imagining this tank

I believe there is an image floating around some where of a Violet/Dragon Goby that is almost double that size. I can't find the link, maybe someone else knows what I'm talking about.
