Hi,
I'm considering setting up a 20L tank. I was wondering which NW cichlids I could stock in this. I know it would have to be kept at a low number, but any suggestions would be nice. I know 30g is a much better choice, not sure if I want to put a 30 where I'm planning to put this tank.

why not go for a pair of cockatoo cichlids or agassizi with some neon rainbows and a bristlenose that would be a nice looking tank

South american dwarfs would probably be your best bet. Theres some stunners out there and you can set yourself a nice little biotope.

You mean 20G right? like your thread title says?

I would suggest a pair of German Blue Rams. They are by far my favorite of the smaller cichlids.

Here is a link to their Species Index German Blue Ram

Here are a couple other Links

Bolivian Ram
Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid <Upon seeing these guys again they might be my new favorite

Hope that helps

Thanks for all the responses. Although I love rams myself, I have one in my 37g and I'd like to do something different. I'm definitely going to have to research cockatoo cichlids, they seem quite beautiful.

Btw, by 20L I meant 20 gallon long.

lol thats what i was gonna ask...i would go with a pair of kribensis personally, well colored and pretty active once they settle in...you could also do convicts, but you'd have to watch out for them having babies lol...

Good luck
