Possable For Afra And Auratus To Cross?

my friend wants to know he thinks they can i just want to clear this up

I dont think so, generally Melanchromides will only cross within that genus. As Afra are of Cynotilapia, i dont think this is possible.

Dont forget to warn him that Auratus are tank murders of the highest degree, especially if there is more than one of them.
 
Possible - Yes, but highly unlikely.
 
ok thanks for clearing this up for him :good: , i told him auratus are very aggressive fish

just another question, at what age do afra start to colour, my friend has one its about 1- 1.5 inches and its a grayish blue with very faint stripes

Couple of inches normally but with an Auratus in the tank - he/she probably won't colour up and is likely to stay in submissive colouration in an attempt to avoid aggression.
