Little update to this old thread. All fish died. After loading them in the truck, we had an unexpected snow storm, the heater killed the battery faster then I could charge it as a result. Following that, we hit unexpected freezing weather for the first three days.
HOWEVER....the fish survived almost 100 hours in these "tanks." They maintained temperature for over 72 hours after losing power. I think if weather was not against me, they would have been successful.
