Popping The Swim Bladder?

Nothing to be done then I think.
Here amother link about sticking a needle into the swim bladder but I wouldn't do that as you need experience.

Does he lay on his back or turn upside down.
I had a goldfish that had swim bladder tryed most things but nothing helped.
He got septicemia in the end had to put him out of his misery.
Do you think the fish stands a chance.

No the fish looks in a really bad way (floating on side, bent over) and we have come to the decision that we have no choice but to euthanise him tomorrow,
(would have done it today but we where simply too busy)

no, apart from the area around his swim bladder being extremely pale, he looks in good condition

Sometimes they come down with septicemia on top.

I did try, although i wasn't sure if i actually got to the swim bladder or just pierced the skin,
There was a pop sound and it did seem like it deflated ever so slightly but not anywhere near as much as it needed to have done

While I respect your knowledge and experience wilder, would it not be best to put the fish down? From what we've learnt, its been suffering for a while now, and the plan to 'burp' it was mildly successful (adding to the fishes pain?!)

If it were me, i'd kill the fish.
