Popeye Or Just An Injury ?

Hi guys im new on here and i need some help please )

My 1 shabumkin has a swollen eye its not cloudy, no white specs no nothing as i can c just a swollen eye except for a little cut i noticed a few days after seeing the eye was swollen, the cut is underneath the eye by about an inch but i cant remember seeing that the day i noticed the swelling (that was on thurs last week).

Since then i have been doing water changes every other day (40- 50%) to make sure that all toxins etc if any are taken out of the water. Wen i noticed the cut i added some King British No7 Bacteria Control to make sure that the cut didnt get infected with parasites or anything or to make sure that there was no infection etc. The fish seems to be acting as normal and is eating well.

Can you tell me if im taking the right percautions because i value urs guys (and girls of course ) advice. Any advice or information you can give me is much appreciated.

Could be an injury if he has a cut, yes just keep up with the water changes, you could add melafix if the cut looks bad.

The cut dont look to bad at the moment is there a reason y i wudnt have seen the cut wen i noticed the swelling ??

Did he catch it on a plant, i think i would add abit of melafix with having the swelling, if the swelling hasn't gone in a couple of days get back to the board, good luck.

Absolutely... Melafix is good for that sort of thing.

I had a look this morning and the cut is healing up nice and the swelling seems to be slowly going down to. I will keep up with the water changes and when i go out tomorrow i will pick up some of that melafix that u recommended. Thank you for your help and advice again !
