Poor Pleco

Just noticed something in my tank has managed to take a chunk out of my plecs mouth, 1 of the 'mouth whiskers' has been biten right off.
There's abit of blood around the mouth area so i'd imagin it happened recent.

Should i do anything other then water changes to help?

Water change could help but I would just add Melafix to help heal the tissue.
