Poor Dogma needs help...a few days ago when I was moving him to a new, roomier home, I noticed he had (what I assume) was ick, on parts of his tail. He has real thin, frilly fins. The ick had wrapped completely around some of the real thin parts of his tail. I treated it with QuickCure for two days, and the "icK" is gone. Then this morning, I noticed, what I believe, was a very small part of his tail. Now I notice that at the very tips of his frills, there are red dots. Is he bleeding? What can I add...or should I add any meds to the water? Could this be another parasite?

It's new tissue growing. I had that on two of my pastels.

The red is starting to go up his tail...but it's not like it's the tail turning a red color, more like there is something on/around the tail that is red? Does that still sound like new growth?

I know I'm not suppose to have favorites and all, but I would do anything and everything for Dogma. Not to say I'd just let any of the other guys die...   What should I add to the water (if anything) to make sure there are no complications? I think I'll do partial water changes once or twice a day....Am I getting a little obsessive?

Add BettaMax. Follow the directions on the container.

And no - you are NOT obssessive about your bettas health. Unless you are anal like me!
