No, not in the filter. He seems better. He was swimming around a bit a minute ago. He is hiding from the filter current under the filter now. The boys like to get behind the Whisper iJR (or whatever) to hide from the current and each other. He got himself wedged in a spot he couldn't figure how to get out of.
He has a couple of light scrapes on his face and a fin that looks a bit shredded, but I believe he will be ok. I add more salt and some ketapang (IAL) extract. He seemed to like it.
Of more concern now is my HM girl. She has had problems with a growth on her face a long time. Salt has helped. I put her in the sorority tank when I set it up, but because of the plants, frogs and botia straita, I was reluctant to add more than a little bit of salt.
She has been hiding a lot and I have been concerned for her. She spends most of her time in the green algae clumps at the surface. She didn't come out at all for her pea, so I hunted her down. She has a bad case of pop eye. I think the reduction in salt and the stress of the sorority has been too much for her. She is about a year and some months old. I think I got her as a young lady a few months old last Feb. She was from Splashluff, a member. I drove and picked her, her sister and Ms. Kinky up personally. Her sister succumbed to the fungus or whatever they got.
So after a salt bath, she is in a 70 degree critterkeeper with salt, ketapang extract, IAL leaf, and some MelaFix and PimaFix. She seems happier. She is resting on her heater where I put an artificial leaf with some Java moss growth. I will get her some algae balls later. We will see how she fairs. She will need her own tank I think with extra additives and care when she recovers.
Poor girl! She is just "HM Girl", sometimes "Erica's HM Girl"
He is just the "Flaring Red VT Boy." They get named whatever I call them. haha
Sorry this is so long.
