Pond Filter

i have a large aquarium,7ft by 2.6ft x 2ft running two fx5,i was wondering if anyone runs a pond filter or know anyone that runs a pond filter on their tank as you can get much bigger filters with much better flow rates?

used to know some one
who had a 10x3x3 running
two i do believe they were green
machine pond filter with the
UV sterilizers with no problems
except for one that they have to
be higher than the tank
