Pond digging, sunny weather and all that

Is it possible to extend the pond into those sidebed Will? It would make quite and intresting feature.

Infact William I think you should scrap the whole garden and just make it one giant pond. Think about it you would never need to weed again. :D

Do you own your own property or are you a renter? Just curiouse. Either way you could just put in concreate and concreate sealing paint instead of a liner you could even stick some re-bar into the side to providesome shelves for plants then come winter you could drop the plants all the way to the bottom and be fine.

William,
I was browsing through my local newagents mags. shelf this morning, no not for girlie mags :p , but sadder than that for fishy mags. I came across "Today's Fishkeeper". In it is a supplement about building your own pond etc. Thought it may be of interest to you if you can pick up a copy. It's the April edition 2004.
It seems to be quite informative. I might consider changing subs from PFK over to TF. I'll have a look at a few past issues first.

Essentail Water Gardens is another good pond one, or if you like Koi theres Koi mags.

Updated. Not quite as big as I'd first planned, but I've decided it's going to be less fish oriented and more ornamental. The main problems - as DrOizo said was the original walls weren't in themselves strong enough, it also means that if the side walls have to at some time be replaced the pond should be good. (in theory).

Looks great Will, keeps us updated. Some nice lighting etc would make it look great at night. We brought some underwater and floating lights not long ago, well worth it.
