 :D :D :D :D :D oh my god thats fantatstic i was kinda hoping it was but i did not want to get upset if it was not i bought him for £1.50 thta last time i saw delzheri for sale they were not that much bigger than this one but were greyer and had more prominent bands and were £27 :D :D :D

ps he loves bloodworm

£1.50 is a steal for any species of bichir, i paid £20 for my delhezi. Try feeding it small pieces of shrimp and fish to get it to grow quicker, bloodworm is not particularly high in protein so fast growing predators like bichirs need something a bit more substancial.

i will feed himon prawn i have just tried him on small peices and he has taken them heartly :flex: in no time thanks for the advice my ornate ate prawn as well
any particular fish ???

I use whitebait from the fishmongers to feed all my predators as it is cheap and since it is for human consumption has not been defrosted and re frozen many times so it retains more nutrients and sinks easily, unlike lance fish from the LFS which normally float and are as nutritious as cardboard.

 i tried lance fish to feed a group of oscars i had they just let them float
bob bob bobing along lance fish = not eating that syndrome

My larger del also loves dover sole, and the occasional treat of chopped nighcrawlers. Great buy!

well if i have read what cfc is saying is that lancefish has been frozen, refroze, defrosted, frozen ect ect so the goodness of the fish has been taken by the burning effect that frezzing has on organic matter

this is true with the smaller packs in plastic trays.

i had floating lance fish all the time like this but now i buy big bags of lance fish from my LFS(work!!) and they sink straight away...after defrosting in a tub, they tend to be alot bigger than the trays of fish aswell.
